Oremex Continues To Expand Its 40 Million Ounce Tejamen Silver Resource

Vancouver, B.C. - September 13th, 2005: Oremex Resources is pleased to announce partial results from the ongoing drilling program at its Tejamen Silver project, located in the State of Durango, Mexico. The current drilling program is designed to expand and delineate the NI 43-101 (40 million ounces, excluding the results of any holes drilled over the past six months) calculated by N. Tribe & Associates. To date, over 215 holes have been drilled in two zones -- the Cerro Prieto and Los Manto zones.

Results of the six holes drilled in the Cerro Prieto zone indicate a continuation of the mineralization to the southeast towards the presently much larger Los Mantos zone. The Cerro Prieto zone is open to depth and laterally in several directions.

Additional drill results from approximately 40 holes in the Los Mantos zone are being compiled, and should be available near the end of September. Drilling continues on the Los Manto zone, which is also open to depth and laterally in several directions. Following the receipt of all assays from holes drilled over the past few months, an updated NI 43-101 resource calculation will be prepared by N. Tribe & Associates

Preliminary metallurgical results are also being compiled and will be available in the next week or two.

Oremex has arranged a non-brokered private placement with Golden Omega Fund LP of 1.4 million units at C$0.52 each, consisting of 1.4 million shares and 700,000 warrants exercisable at C$0.65 for 18 months. The total proceeds will be C$728,000 and there will be a 5% finder's fee payable in units. Proceeds from the private placement will be added to current working capital and is subject to regulatory approval.

Norm Tribe, PEng is the qualified person responsible for oversight of the Tejamen exploration and has verified the data above.
