Oremex Drill Results Continue To Expand A Multi-Million Ounce Silver Deposit In Durango, Mexico
Vancouver, B.C. October 26, 2004: Oremex Resources Inc. is pleased to announce assay results from an additional 26 holes drilled in the El Manto Zone of the Tejamen silver property, near Durango, Mexico. Results to date have exceeded management's expectations, and it is anticipated that the near-term goal of exceeding 50 million ounces of silver in 2005 will be achieved.
Oremex has drilled and assayed 112 holes (approximately 20,000 meters) to date on the Cerro Prieto and El Manto zones. The Company calculates that silver mineralization is present in over 87% of the holes, thereby providing a high degree of confidence in extending the two zones that are still open in several directions.
Some highlights of the new results to date are as follows:

The El Manto zone is located along and adjacent to the andesite/rhyolite contact and within N.E. trending fault-facture zones containing high-grade mineralization. The foregoing gives rise to the manto-type mineralization.
Approximately 800 meters east of the El Manto zone, a new zone (El Manto East, which may be similar in size and mineralization to El Manto) was identified by limited prospecting of outcrops and historical workings. The next phase of drilling will include this new area, as well as continue to define the limits of mineralization on the El Manto zone, which is still open in several directions.
Randall Reneau, P. Geo, Oremex's Chief Geologist, is the Qualified Person (QP) responsible for the Tejamen exploration and has verified the data in the table above.
In addition, Oremex Resources announces that it received conditional approval on October 22, 2004, to list the common shares of the Company on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
